Dearest Visionary... 💫

Welcome back to our weekly edition of Friday Field Notes.

This week, we’re exploring how energetic awareness supports true healing—and why it’s a foundational part of our Doctor of Spiritual Medicine program.

We are meticulous about what we eat. Careful about what we put on our skin. Intentional about our supplements. But we rarely guard what we allow into our energetic field. Energy hygiene isn’t superstition. It’s discernment.

It’s noticing when a conversation lingers in your body. It’s recognizing when constant input dulls your clarity. It’s choosing silence over stimulation. It’s tending to your nervous system before it spills into your spirit.

Every interaction leaves an imprint. Every environment carries a tone. Every thought has a frequency.

Many traditional healing systems have long recognized that our well-being depends on the smooth flow of vital life force throughout the body. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this energy—known as qi—moves through specific pathways called meridians, forming an intricate network that connects organs, tissues, and emotional patterns alike.

When this flow becomes stagnant or disrupted, imbalance can emerge not only physically, but mentally and spiritually as well. Practices that support energetic movement and release are not new—they are rooted in thousands of years of clinical observation that understand health as a dynamic, interconnected system.

Rockwell’s Doctor of Spiritual Medicine program explores these principles in depth—and so much more.

Want to practice one small act of energetic stewardship this week? Keep reading. 💜

⚛️ Clear Your Energy Pathways

Your body’s energy channels, or meridians, flow like rivers through your system. Keeping them clear supports physical health and emotional balance.

  • Take 3 slow, intentional breaths when you first wake up — to support the Lung meridian’s natural early-morning reset.
  • Declutter one small space — (desk, drawer, or closet) to help your Large Intestine meridian release stagnant energy.
  • Stay hydrated — to nourish your meridians and aid smooth energy flow. 🍵
  • Stretch your arms and shoulders — to open the channels that carry protective energy.
  • Acknowledge emotions — like grief or worry, and let them move through, rather than holding them in.

💟 Nourish Your Energy Centers

Balanced energy supports digestion, focus, and overall vitality. Pay attention to how your body and mind “process” experiences and nourishment.

  • Eat a nourishing breakfast — between 7 and 9 AM to energize the Stomach meridian.
  • Include grounding foods — (whole grains, root vegetables) to support your Spleen meridian.
  • Take a mindful pause — mid-morning (9–11 AM) to feel steady energy and mental clarity.
  • Gently massage your abdomen — to encourage smooth digestive energy flow.
  • Focus on one task at a time — to support the mental clarity of your Earth element meridians.

☮️ Protect and Empower Your Spirit

Your energy isn’t just physical—it’s emotional and mental. Maintaining heart, decision-making, and life-force channels keeps your interactions and choices flowing harmoniously.

  • Spend 5 minutes connecting with a loved one — to energize your Heart and Pericardium meridians. 🤍
  • Set one small boundary — or say no to something unnecessary to protect your energy.
  • Pause before bed — (7–9 PM) for reflection, supporting calm Pericardium and Kidney meridians.
  • Move your body gently — to stimulate the Triple Energizer and Liver meridians for smooth energy circulation.
  • Write down one decision you’ve been avoiding — to activate courage and clarity in the Gallbladder meridian.

✨ Spiritual Medicine recognizes that healing happens on physical, emotional, and energetic levels. Rather than masking symptoms, we support the body’s natural rhythms, protective energy, and innate capacity for restoration.

Through Rockwell's Doctor of Spiritual Medicine program, practitioners are equipped to guide clients safely and ethically—supporting meridian balance, emotional resilience, spiritual alignment, and whole-person healing. 💜
