We don't celebrate many holidays here because there are so many if you subscribe to multiple cultural calendars like we do with students all over the world, but we weren't going to miss this one.
Today is the national Day for Doctors, and while it generally refers to only physicians, Rockwell aims to change the illusion that conventional medical doctors are the only ones to be celebrated.
Doctors come in all shapes and sizes. Some doctors, like our graduates, have incredible, life changing, but unconventional educational backgrounds that allow them to help people no one else could help. So it's also your day to stand up and be counted because not all doctors wear stethoscopes...
We just happen to be the functionally-trained, holistic providers who target, prevent, reverse and eliminate root causes through Ideal Health Theory® for quality of life and longevity. And we just wanted to take a moment out of our day to remind you of your value as a holistic doctor.
Never allow anyone or any agency to diminish that. Period.
And if you're still learning the ropes, check out our latest post 'Just Some Helpful Information For Our Student Body & Current Graduates'.
We have had the most day pass requests ever this week. Those are all being sent out today and tomorrow for weekend use. If you want one, but haven't made a request, you can do that below.
Lastly, have you seen this one-minute iodine video I filmed in a small local park on Lido Key, Sarasota? If not, you can check it out below.
That video was filmed last summer in a very special place to me, as it is one of the only spots left on the key that remain untouched (or less touched) by human hands.
There are tall, old pines directly on the beach.
You can see some of them in the snapshot below. I have this dream of buying all the land and rewilding it...
And while that will never happen, we can all 'rewild' the spaces we reside in. |
