It's important to note that we focus on teaching natural, functional, and holistic medicine. Our program does not cover conventional medicine, so completing it will not make you a licensed medical professional.
However, you can become a licensed, board-certified holistic doctor and/or provider. More information about licensing is available below.
Our student body comprises licensed medical professionals, including MDs, NPs, PAs, RNs, and more, but we also accept lay persons or those seeking adult self-directed learning for personal and professional enrichment.
Unless otherwise licensed to do so, our graduates never treat, diagnose, or prescribe. We target, reverse, and eliminate root causes with a focus on prevention. Holistic provider licensing protects your right to access and practice natural, functional, holistic medicine, but it does not license you to practice conventional medicine or treat, diagnose, and/or prescribe.
Our graduates are eligible for holistic board certification through multiple organizations, practice insurance, and holistic licensing.
If you've chosen our natural medicine track, know that we teach traditional, not licensed, naturopathy. This means that you will not be a licensed naturopathic physician after completing our program.
This program is not associated with the CNME (Council on Naturopathic Medical Education) because we teach traditional (not licensed) naturopathy.
Learn more about natural medicine on our holistic doctorate pages and at ANCB.net, which posts current and pending legislation for naturopaths.
We're multi-professionally accredited, like all schools of this class and type. We're associated with numerous holistic board certifiers. Our accreditors and associated board certifers can be found on our HOME, START HERE, and LICENSING & BOARD CERTIFICATION pages.
Many of our graduates get double, —and even triple-board certified, but it's not required to practice as a holistic provider, nor is licensing.
However, licensing is strongly encouraged for our licensed medical professional student body when practicing outside their normal standards of care.
Holistic providers and natural health professionals have been eligible for their version of practice insurance, licensure, and board certification for the last 20-30 years, depending on the organization.
These organizations and holistic educators exist and work for our right to access and practice natural, functional, holistic medicine.
